By entering your food cost percentage, Karibu will automatically calculate the selling price for your menu items basing on the cost of your recipe ingredients. As the costs of the ingredients change, Karibu will also automatically change the item’s selling price so that you are always aware of the price to sell in order to maintain your desired profit margin
EVENT FOOD BUDGETING
Avoid wastages due to purchasing excess ingredients for events. With this feature, once you select a menu item and the number of guests expected, Karibu will automatically calculate the total ingredients, the ingredient quantities, the total cost of the ingredients needed for the event as well as the profit and profit margin.
Even as you negotiate the food price with your client, Karibu will instantly show if you are selling below or above the desired profit margin.
TABLET / IPAD ORDERING
Alongside the traditional POS terminals, waiters can also place orders using Tablets or phones. This can boost your wait staff’s efficiency, improve interactions with your customers and better client service.
Better still, once the chef updates the sent order as ready for picking, the waiters are immediately notified on their respective devices.
KITCHEN DISPLAY SYSTEM (KDS)
Karibu’s Kitchen display system (KDS) displays incoming orders in restaurant kitchen. It streamlines kitchen communication, reduces human error, and monitors cook times for each dish.
The chef can also view a dish’s ingredients at the touch of a button.
Once the order is ready, the system notifies the waiters on their ordering devices.
STORES /INVENTORY MANAGEMENT MODULE
The stores and inventory module tracks inventory levels, usage and movement in all locations including the main store, points of sale, house keeping, maintenance and more. With Karibu, you can track every item from the moment it comes into the restaurant until it’s used or disposed off, eliminating losses, wastages and theft.
